Small L's Next Big Adventure

Another thing that has kept us busy is preparing for Small L to start school (our school year starts in January). Oh my! Where did the time go? Apart from meeting with his teacher (who thankfully seems just lovely) I've been struggling to get my head around logistics and forms and supplies etc - can anyone help me out with the dimensions of a library bag?

Starting school also means he will be saying goodbye to the wonderful women who have cared for him since he was a baby. He goes to daycare at Big I's work and I can honestly say that it is the most fabulous place. Every single staff member knows every child and it is clear that they all love each other like family. The facilities are perfect and everyone is happy and they cater for babies right through to preschool.

We went to his graduation on Thursday and I had tears in my eyes the whole time! The ceremony was great fun and the kids all did a terrific job.

Here he is collecting his certificate. An inner city Real Estate company who provide sponsorship and support to the centre sent along their giant bee (Boris, maybe? His name escapes me) to give each of the kids a bee toy and shake their hands. On the way home, Small L confided "That wasn't a real bee, Mum, because he didn't have a stinger on his bum........I Checked"!

And here he is posing with his certificate (and mortarboard). It seems like just yesterday that I brought that tiny baby home!
